Encore fatiguée de la rude marche
d’hier, alors aujourd’hui, nous allons suivre une « levada », au
moins là, on est sur de ne pas avoir trop de dénivelée, et une est assez près d’ici
donc pas trop de voiture. Nous montons, en voiture, par une petite route
incroyablement raide au village de Prazeres. Les chemins qui montent de Jardim
do Mar et de Paúl do Mar vont à Prazeres. C’est le grand village en haut, tout
passait par Prazeres pour partir ou arriver aux villages en bas sur la côte.
C’est un grand village mais dispersé, on voit des maisons un peu partout dans
les environs. Nous stationnons la voiture et marchons un peu. Une pancarte
indique « quinta pedagógica », donc nous allons voir cela. C’est un
beau jardin avec de nombreuses plantes et même quelques enclos avec des
animaux. C’est sympa, écologique et en « économie circulaire » même.
Puis nous allons à notre levada, qui traverse le village. Nous marchons 1 km
dans un sens, mais c’est à l’ombre, donc nous faisons demi-tour, revenons au
village et repartons dans l’autre sens, 1 km aussi. Mais ce n’est pas très
folichon comme promenade, un peu monotone et surtout, pas de fleurs. Mais pour
un jour de repos, c’est tout à fait ce qu’il faut. Avec les km parcourus dans
le village cela fait 6 km de marche, c’est assez pour aujourd’hui. Retour à la
maison, baignade, lunch, stillestund et « travail ». Petite promenade
pour voir le quai, diner à la maison d’un bon ragout de poulet (acheté congelé
à la petite boutique), carottes et patates douces fait par Jens. Pour la
première fois nous dinons dedans, un fort vent s’est levé dans la soirée. Après
avoir fini de diner et que j’ai fini la vaisselle (mon job lorsque Jens fait la
cuisine), nous marchons, c’est à 5 minutes d’ici, au restaurant Tar Mar où nous
avons diné hier, nous avons payé 18 € et on a l’impression que la fille a oublié quelque
chose, qu’on a payé trop peu. Mais pas de chance, le restaurant est fermé du 26
au 28. Nous remontons par la rue qui remonte au parking et découvrons deux
veredas (ruelles) qui arrivent presqu’en face de chez nous.

Still tired
from yesterday's tough walk, so today, we are going to follow a
"levada", at least there, we are sure not to have too much elevation
gain, and one is quite close to here so not too much driving. We go up, by car,
by an incredibly steep little road to the village of Prazeres. The paths that
go up from Jardim do Mar and Paúl do Mar go to Prazeres. It's the big village
at the top, everything went through Prazeres to leave or arrive at the villages
below on the coast. It is a large village but scattered, you see houses almost
everywhere in the surrounding area. We park the car and walk a little. A sign
says “quinta pedagógica”, so we’ll see that. It is a beautiful garden with many
plants and even a few enclosures with animals. It’s nice, ecological and even a
“circular economy” itself. Then we go to our levada, which crosses the village.
We walk 1 km in one direction, but it's in the shade, so we turn around, return
to the village and go back in the other direction, 1 km too. But it’s not a
very fun walk, a bit monotonous and above all, no flowers. But for a day of
rest, it's just what we need. With the km covered in the village that's 6 km of
walking, that's enough for today. Return home, swim, lunch, stillestund and
“work”. Short walk to see the quay, dinner at home with a good chicken stew
(bought frozen at the little shop), carrots and sweet potatoes made by Jens.
For the first time we dined inside, a strong wind rose in the evening. After
having finished dinner and the dishes (my job when Jens is cooking), we walk,
it's 5 minutes from here, to the Tar Mar restaurant where we had dinner
yesterday, we paid 18 € and we have the impression that the girl forgot
something, that we paid too little. But no luck, the restaurant is closed from
the 26th to the 28th. We go back up the street which goes back to the car park
and discover two veredas (alleys) which arrive almost in front of our home.
